When Pain Knocks, Mercy Answers

Glory be to Allah.
We expect every day to be bright and full of vibrant colors, but in reality, life comes each day with its share of trials and tribulations.
Yes—trials and hardships in all their forms, feelings, weight, stillness, and shifts.
Glory be to Allah, it's difficult to describe them!
But Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:
"Do the people think that they will be left to say, ‘We believe’ and they will not be tested?"
(Surat Al-‘Ankabūt, 2)
Trials are part of our journey.
One day they purify us.
Another day they humble us.
And they constantly remind us of Allah’s wisdom in everything.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim—even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn—but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.”
SubhanAllah.
After contemplating about this hadith,
I began to see every pain as a soldier.
Because no matter how pain feels,
Every affliction carries a hidden mercy.
Only the One who created you knows how it fixes your pride, your arrogance, and things within you that you're unaware of.
So if you're suffering,
If you’re going through a hard time—
It’s refining you.
Maybe this pain is better for you
Than the happiness you wished for,
Than the goal you're striving toward,
Than the permissible pleasures you have in your hands.
He, the Most High, gently sends His soldiers upon you. 🤍
Do you recognize them?
Sleepiness, laziness, lack of motivation, feeling "full" of everything material, not valuing things, heaviness in striving, and more...
They are His hidden soldiers. 🤍
You don’t see them, but they are guests from the Most Merciful.
They come to you as guidance and healing.
With them, they bring a gift called “pain”—
To save your heart and soul from the fire of this world and the Hereafter.
The only issue is:
You don’t know when they’ll be allowed to leave.
Only He knows when you will truly believe that there is no god but Him. 🤍
Glory be to Allah.
How merciful He is!
He makes everything easy for you,
Then takes you in the blink of an eye—
Not as punishment, but as protection.
Reflect on your thoughts during the day and night.
They might be the cause of the rust on your heart—
The very thing that stripped the blessing from your life.
Keep turning to Him...
And trust that every difficulty is bringing you closer to Him.
Ya Allah...
Guard me with Your Eye that never sleeps.
Suffice me with Your unassailable power.
And protect me with Your unbreakable might. 🤲🏻
Always remember:
You Are Being Refined, Not Punished :)
